Puppy Socialization Classes
At Montclair Veterinary Hospital, our commitment to you and your pet goes beyond physical health. We take an active role in helping you learn how to take care of your pet's needs. Puppy socialization is an important need for every young dog.

Teaching a puppy at a young age how to interact with other dogs and other people can make a behavioral difference for the rest of its life. At Montclair Veterinary Hospital, we offer puppy socialization classes for dogs ranging from 10 to 16 weeks old.
These very impressionable weeks are the best time for a puppy to learn socialization skills and their first basic commands. Dogs that learn these skills early in life often are better behaved members of the family for all the years to come.
Puppy classes are held weekly and last for four consecutive weeks. Dogs are taught how to react to new people, new animals and strange or unexpected sounds. Basic commands such as "leave it" and "stay" are introduced. Please contact our Client Care Coordinators at 510-339-8600 to find out when the next class begins or to add your name to the waiting list.
