Montclair Vet Hospital Community Service: Montclair Veterinary Hospital Pet & Wildlife Fund

Following in the footsteps of founder Dr. James Harris, Montclair Veterinary Hospital staff members consistently give back to our community. As CEO, Lee Richter leads our community give-back efforts through our non-profit organization, the Montclair Veterinary Hospital Pet & Wildlife Fund.
Through the Montclair Veterinary Hospital Pet & Wildlife Fund, we provide free and discounted services to local school groups and educational organizations, pet and wildlife rescue societies, and the Oakland, Piedmont and Emeryville animal control units. We work with other local leaders to bring educational opportunities to the members of the East Bay community. In addition, our informational newspaper columns provide a veterinarian's view and share guidance about pet and wildlife care. Look for "The Pet Doctor" in The Montclarion.
The doctors and staff at Montclair Veterinary Hospital are happy to provide educational programs to schools, community organizations and special interest groups. Topics range from dog and cat care to exotic pets to how to handle injured wildlife. Please contact us if you are interested in arranging an educational program. Please send e-mails to
