Have you heard of our sister facility, Holistic Veterinary Care? Even if you have, we invite you to read on for an overview of how Holistic and Complementary medicines can benefit your pet!
Holistic Veterinary Care is a unique veterinary facility which offers your pet Complementary and Holistic care designed to work in conjunction with conventional medical care. We are located in Piedmont, right at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Pleasant Valley Avenue. Doctor Gary Richter founded Holistic Veterinary care in 2004 to fill a problematic gap in the field of Veterinary medicine. Highly trained in conventional veterinary medicine, Doctor Richter realized that although traditional western treatment modalities are often effective, there are many instances during an animal’s care when Holistic medicine would excel where Western medicine simply cannot. As Dr. Richter puts it, “working with just conventional western medicine is like building a house with half of a tool box. It just isn’t the most effective route towards healing”. At Holistic Veterinary Care, our trained team of Holistic practitioners, each experts in their own fields, draw on a variety of modalities to quicken and enhance the healing of your loved ones. In cooperation with Montclair Veterinary Hospital, we provide fully integrated medical care covering nearly all of your pet’s needs. In so doing, we are happy to collaborate with whomever your pet’s primary care physician is to ensure the best possible care for our patients. At Holistic Veterinary Care, our goal is always to explore, utilize, and promote any and all treatment options that will lead your pet to a healthier and happier life.
Our skilled practitioners offer treatment modalities including:
- Physical Rehabilitation
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
- Nutritional Counseling
- Herbal Therapy
- Pulsed Signal Therapy
- Therapeutic Laser and Ultrasound Therapy
Over the coming weeks, we will be taking an in depth look at each of these different modalities and the doctors who specialize in them. Keep an eye out!
