About Us

We are excited to have reopened Montclair Veterinary Hospital in August 2022, with the same trusted, compassionate doctors and team, and are looking forward to building upon the incredible legacy already established at Montclair.

Our clients and their pets are the reason we continue to thrive in the Oakland community that we have served for over 60 years! We are equipped to assist you with routine preventive care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during their lifetime. We can manage your pet’s care here at our facility and solve most ailments in-house, which saves time and, most importantly, potentially your pet’s life.

The people and the pets of the East Bay Area are our passion. Our tight-knit team comes to work every day to provide the best care possible for your furry companions and family members!

How do we provide compassionate care?

It starts from developing a quality team of individuals that are caring, respectful, motivated, and highly skilled.

Our team is our greatest asset: our friendly and helpful Client Service Representatives – the advocates for our clients, our technical team that holds the crucial responsibility of providing nursing care to our patients – the advocates for your pets. Our highly educated veterinarians use their vast medical knowledge and their passion for pets to help everyone that walks through our doors. High standards of clinical care are something our whole team embraces and your furry friends benefit from.

Our AAHA accreditation means that our hospital has been evaluated on over 900 standards of veterinary excellence. To maintain this accreditation, hospitals undergo a rigorous review by veterinary experts every three years. Your pets are our passion. And keeping them happy and healthy is our #1 priority.

We strive to make every visit as gentle, pain-free, and stress-free as possible for your pets. We are proud that many of our hospital team members are Fear Free certified! To become certified, veterinarians and our teams are required to complete a comprehensive, 8-part educational course and exam.
